Reflections on Midlife, Yoga Practice, the Nervous System & Real-Life Practice
This space is for reflection.
Here I write about yoga practice as it’s actually lived — through the body, the nervous system, injury, recovery, emotional shifts, and the journey toward mental health. These posts focus on physical wellness and personal growth rather than perfect poses or quick fixes. They explore how our practice supports us over time and reveals the layers of our experience.
Much of what I share here grows directly from my own journey and years of teaching students as they navigate real life alongside yoga.
Need to press the reset button?
This 20-minute Vinyasa Flow is designed to help you move your body, steady your breath and reconnect with yourself, no matter how busy life has been.
We'll flow mindfully from one posture to the next, linking movement with breath to build strength, improve mobility and release tension that has built up throughout the day. There is no pressure to be perfect—simply move in a way that feels right for your body and enjoy the process.
This practice is suitable for anyone looking for a short but effective yoga session and is perfect if you're short on time but still want to experience all the benefits of yoga.
During this practice you'll:
Whether you're practising before work, after a long day or simply carving out twenty minutes for yourself, this class is your reminder that you don't need an hour to feel the benefits of movement.
Roll out your mat, take a deep breath and let's flow together.
Because when we move with intention and breathe with awareness, we create space—not just in our bodies, but in our minds as well.
Come as you are. Leave a little more like yourself.
If you'd like to practise with me live each week or explore a growing library of yoga, strength and breathwork classes, I'd love to welcome you to My Yoga Livestream.
Take twenty minutes to step away from the busyness of the day and reconnect with the one thing that has been with you since the moment you were born—your breath.
In this gentle Pranayama practice, we'll explore simple yet powerful breathing techniques to help calm the nervous system, improve focus and create a greater sense of balance and wellbeing. Whether you're completely new to breathwork or have an established yoga practice, this session offers an opportunity to slow down, breathe more consciously and return to yourself.
There is no rush, no pressure and nothing to achieve. Simply find a comfortable seated position, wear something you can breathe easily in and allow yourself twenty minutes of uninterrupted time.
This practice is ideal if you are feeling:
Pranayama is one of yoga's greatest gifts. While we often think of yoga as movement, the breath is where the real transformation begins. Learning to breathe with awareness can help us respond to life's challenges with greater calm, clarity and resilience.
I hope this practice leaves you feeling lighter, steadier and a little more like yourself.
Come as you are. Leave a little more like yourself.
